    Default Bulk delete

I have about 1000+ products in my db that needs to be deleted because its no longer available.
    1) What is the best way of deleting the products? by sql?
    2) Is there a way of bulk deleting images associated with the products?

SQL would be the fastest way, yes, but make sure you also clean up the variants table, kit tables, etc. There is no easy way to bulk delete the images (except via FTP if you know all the product IDs) without writing some custom code to look for orphaned images.
