Default Hiding Categories which contain no products

    Hi

I currently have my store configured to hide products which are out of stock. Is it possible to hide a category if there are no products in it? (ie as they are all out of stock)

    Cheers
    Mark

Wouldnt you lose your search engine rankings by both hiding out of stock products and hiding categories with out of stock products?

    Yes you would.

Far better to leave them & just don't display a buy button - display a message that it's currently out of stock instead.

    Default Need to know

We do not have SEO and have Product Filtered by Affiliate so I would like to hide categories with no products.
