    Default Retweet Button ?

    Hi

Been trying to add a retweet button to my product and topics pages. The code gets whipped through the rad editor and I do not want to turn off the rad editor in appconfigs.

Does anyone have any idea how to add the retweet button on product and topic pages with the rad editor on? I have searched for three days now.

    Thanks for any help.

I assume you're talking about the Twitter Tweet/ReTweet button from TweetMeme?

Why not put the code into your XML Packages for your product and your category/Section pages?

This way you won't have to worry about the WYSIWIG editor at all. Make the change in two (or three) places and cover all of the pages you really would want someone tweeting about?

I've done some testing on v8.0.1.2 and it works fine and should for any other version...

OMG How exactly did you do this please? I am still learning the XML's but have edited some of them and had no problems at all.

You are BRILLIANT as I have been fighting four days now and I cannot get it to work using the rad editor, not the XML's.

    BRILLIANT IDEA!!

Now, if you wouldn't mind telling me how you did this exactly in the XML, I would be SO very very grateful.

BTW Tweetmeme was the very first one I tried in the rad editor but I have tried thousands since.

    Yours looks excellent too.

    Thank you very much.

    Hi mgibbs

I do not know how you got that to work as I have been trying everything in my xml's and the only thing I get are errors on my store.

Any chance you could enlighten me how you did it exactly, please?

    Thanks

Here is an update to your Retweet button.

Yes its on your page, however I never clicked on it till just now to see how it actually retweeted. It does not work. It is taking you to the logon screen on Twitter so its not taking you to the RT window :-\ where you click update.

I wonder why its doing this??

Edited to add: Im on Mac OS X and checked with firefox and safari

It takes you to the login if you are not already logged in. If you are logged in you go direct to the update screen. It is working properly

Im sorry, but it is not working for me. Please dont take it personal.

I am logged into twitter through both web browsers, safari and firefox and both takes me to the logon screen at twitter.

Im not sure what OS you are on but Im on Mac Pro's running Mac OS X Snow Leopard using safari and firefox.

Its still a very brilliant idea and I'm sure with some adjustments it will work.

    2. If I am logged in, I go direct to update screen.
