Default MSDE to Sql 2005 Express

We have version Aspdotnetstorefront 4.2 using MSDE. We will be upgrading our servers and in the process I thought it would be good to upgrade to SQL Express 2005 since we hit the 8 user limit that MSDE has. Our DB is only 325 meg.

Will the 4.2 storefront have trouble using SQL Express 2005? Is there anything I should be aware of?

    Thanks
    Tom

First of all the version you have is too old and you might want to consider upgrading. There is a chance that you might have your merchant account shut down for not being PABP/PA-DSS certified. To know more about PABP Compliance please take a look at this link http://www.aspdotnetstorefront.com/t-pabp.aspx. Secondly, this might probably work but no guarantee. You must have a sandbox account where you could do testing before applying this with your production site prevent any error that would cause live site not to operate. Latest build is much more secured and has better performance. It does support also SQL 2005 and SQL 2008. Please see this link http://forums.aspdotnetstorefront.co...ad.php?t=14383.

Tom if you decide to upgrade, which you should, contact Jan at Compunix jsimacek@compunix.us and we can do that for you as well as transferring/recoding any modifications you have to work with the latest cart.
