I set SiteMap.ShowLibraries to false but I still see the heading for 'Library' do I need to do something else to also remove the header?

    Thanks,

Nope...that's all, but this page is heavily cached. Make sure that you have clicked the Reset Cache link/button in the admin site after making the change to the appconfig, and if you actually have caching turned on you'll want to turn it off, click the reset cache button, and then turn it back on.

    That did the trick thanks,

DO you recommend having cache turned while running live?

Caching can improve performance, yes, so when live it is a good idea to have it enabled. Just make sure you are resetting the cache when making changes to things like AppConfig parameters.
