    Default Bread Crumb Error

    For some our clients, in the product details page, we see the breadcrumbs having a very long URL (for category).....

    /(f(0fahozl2yilkqjlsoljoqfnssqeqjtper66kx0eemtezpu7 gwluw-4kh5filkgh85ibrdgvzsigfrpor_adauz-oowi3lyobcg9u9yam9kj8s9aj8wjylzvl5pfp9elyjrxaop3oc ctmg3sonje1gkl2sqxdxskctd4mf7_0q1788j49ui30dj4rjoz fuq-6nc7du_pnslf4zasblapxfehhgiu1))/c-1-chimes.aspx">Chimes</a> &rarr;

    And this URL is too long, so the IIS throws a page not found error.

    Does anyone facing the similar issue. I believe this is something to do with authentication cookies.

    This actually looks like the crawler is not set to cookieless="UseCookies" (in web.config's form tag and sessionState as false) so basically it's storing the session information into the link/URL itself.

    We have seen this many times and we can setup some 301s to help fight this if you like?

    Do you have a dedicated server or shared hosting?
