Default Shared customer accounts in Multistore

    Hello,

A customer of mine has 3 sites on multistore and needs to make it so when a user signs up to one site, they have accounts at another one. If it has to be all 3, that is fine too, but is there a way to share user accounts across sites in multistore?

    Thanks!

    Default

    Hello Austin,

Yes, that is possible - and should be enabled on your client's cart by default.

You will want to ensure that "AllowCustomerFiltering" is set to false (Configuration → Store Maintenance → 'Global Configs' tab)

If this is set to false (recommended), a customer that registers on one of your MultiStore sites also becomes registered on all other stores in that instance. Their login, addresses, order history, etc will be shared across all of the stores. If set to true, the customer must register independently on every store. Setting this to true requires that 'AllowCustomerDuplicateEmailAddresses' be true as well.
