Exclamation Maintenance mode locking out admin

    I've followed steps from http://manual.aspdotnetstorefront.co...-the-site.aspx

Whilst it works well for users it locks me out if accessing the admin area! Strange that this is how it is by default.

I still want the htm file displayed for users but allowing access to the admin area so updates can be made with the site offline for users in "maintenance mode".

Is there something I can add to web.config to do this?

    Thanks

    Default

Has no one honestly been able to achieve this?
I find it ridiculous that setting the store to unavailable/maintenance mode also locks out the admin area and access to the site for admins, by default.
