Thread: Add control(s) to product description

Is there a document or brief help to tell how we could add a new control to a select product page (http://www.domain.com/p-2-name-of-product.aspx) and pass the information to the database if user click on the 'Add to Cart' button? For example, if you have a product that needs to be sent monthly for x months. We would at least like to add a dropdown of 'month to start'. User can then enter 4 for quantity, select the variant and then also select to start sending in 2 months for 4 months.

Also, is it possible to have a product that you can put on a subscription to do x payments and not charge all at one time?
