    Default This is VERY weird...

I have added a new Category in the control panel and when I try to add a sub-category, the "parent" category is missing. It's not there! When I add categories now, they appear in the list, but they do not appear in the Parent Category dropdown list. Any ideas?

    Cheers,

    ~D

Have you tried resetting the cache?

I have come across a similar issue in the past, and was able to resolve it by restarting the website. You can either do so through IIS, or by "touching" the web.config file.

Note: Be careful when restarting your website, especially on a production environment, since you may experience some down time.

Turn caching off, reset the cache, turn caching back on. I have this same issue and simply resetting the cache doesn't do it. I have to turn it off, reset, then turn it back on.
