Default Why the skins folder still remains in Multi Store?

Since now the skins seats under the new "App_Templates" folder, why in the world the "skins" folder was kept? Seems to me that it is completely unuseful unless to confuse the developers.

I was used to the old folders structure, and I longed a little while to figure out why the changes in the template.ascx wasn't reflecting on my website before to find the new "App_Templates" folder and the "template.master" file.

Also, I don't remember to see this change documented anywhere.

If you are upgrading why would you want to lose all you changes you have done to the skins folder by having the an upgrade process clear the skins folder? The skins folder is no longer a stock folder in the current version.

As for documentation: http://manual.aspdotnetstorefront.co...x-version.aspx says: "15 - Follow the directions in the 'ASPDNSF Skin Conversion Guide' Word doc included in your 9.x build to convert your old skin to use master pages. (skip this step if you are already on a 9.x version)".

This word document can also be found at manual.aspdotnetstorefront.com/pdf/ASPDNSFSkinConversionGuide.doc.

    Hope that helps.

The "skins" folder no longer exists in the web root, as it did in pre-9 versions. Yours may have been retained through the upgrade.
