    Default Minicart not working on default.aspx but workson product pages

    The only place the Minicart shows up when clicked is on the product pages.
    The creen looks like it is refreshing but no minicart and obviously then cannot check out.
    This is true on the category pages too.

    Do you have a link? It's probably something in the master page header, maybe a closing tag missing.
